The You Go Hard Game is our version of an All Star Game for High
School Student Athletes where the top 12 male and top 12 female
student athletes have a chance to showcase their talent for spectators
and scouts and go hard against other talent out of Queens.  

One day, One game, One time to go hard.

First Annual 2004 Game Record

Travis Colburn of Greg Vaughn's Cougars/Guard at Flushing High School dropped a
record 38 points which may hold for some time.

Kiara "Skittles" Johnson of Abysinnian Baptist Church Womens Team dropped a record
24 points.


Second Annual 2005 Game Record
Steven Wood, scoring record setter of Monsignor McClancy High School and currently
Duquesne University dropped 16 points and a couple of vicious slam dunks and a host of
assists.

Sylvia Davis of Francis Lewis High School earned her award by distributing the ball.


Third Annual 2006 Game Record

Jonathan Dejesus, Mt. Vernon Boys Club and currently at St. Michael's Academy was a
powerhouse scored most of his points in the paint.

Nikita Green, Benjamin Cardozo, played an all around game and dazzled the crowd
dishing the ball to her team mates.


Fourth Annual 2007 Game Record

Kevin Chang, guard at  Bayside HIgh School scored 17 points and someone to keep an
eye on, may have a blow out year.

Kasheema Besley, guard at Academy of the Holy Angels hustled throughout the game to
earn her award.

Fifth Annual 2008 Game Record

Nicole Cobb, guard at Elmont High School scored 24 points.

Justin Bailey, guard at St. Mary's High School scored 16 points.

You Go Hard tryouts on
September 1, 2007 drew many
student athletes from different
high schools.  Weight, height,
wing span and vertical jump were
all recorded before participating
in a series of drills that tested
their abilities.

courses required by the NCAA.
Conditioning was a focus,
which a large amount of student
athletes failed due to failing to
prepare throughout the summer.
Tryouts consisted of: 20 laps around both courts, 10 suicides,
10 suicides with ball held in front, 10 baseline to baseline
suicides. full court passing drill, 100 layups and jump shots
and a full court scrimmage. 10 student athletes were chosen to
represent the camp for the 4th annual You Go Hard Game on
September 9, 2007.  The You Go Hard game is an opportunity
for student athletes, both male and female to gain extra
exposure in case they have been overlooked or have not been
seen at all.
